The pulp and paper industry produces a wide variety of consumer and packaging products made from wood, recycled paper, and containerboard. The manufacturing process to convert these raw materials into pulp for use in final products is known as The Kraft Process, a chemical process that dissolves lignin and separates the cellulose in order to be refined into pulp. Well-known products made from pulp include printer paper, shipping boxes and other packaging, as well as consumer goods like toilet paper, and paper towels.
