About the Job

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring experience in construction accounting, working with operations and teams to track job progress and performance, manage work in progress schedules, balance sheets and month end close. This position reports to the President and is a key role for the Tate Metalworks team. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly close and financial reporting to both the President and holding company
  • Manage job cost accounting
  • Maintain WIP schedules
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Assist with audits and tax support
  • Work closely with project managers and operations personnel to track job progress and performance
  • Collaborate across the organization for accounting needs, partnering with the Tate leadership team as well as LT Corp Accounting team, as needed or required
  • Align with the LT Corp's "The Way We Lead" (servant leader, devoted, resilient, growth mindset, team player, trustworthy, fun-loving) leadership traits and reinforcing LT Corp's purpose, core beliefs and values to all team members
  • Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements
  • Learn and partner with the business to support advancement of the operation

Future Growth Potential

This position will develop into a larger role as the company grows. The successful candidate will have the aspiration to grow from an accounting manager to larger financial positions. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
  • 4-6 years accounting experience required
  • Experience in manufacturing or construction required
  • Strong knowledge of construction accounting required
  • Sage 300 experience preferred
  • Acumatica experience preferred
  • CPA candidate or License preferred
  • Knowledge of accounting practices with demonstrated ability to identify solutions aligned with best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Desire to learn, improve, and adapt
  • Demonstrated ability to influence as a trusted partner - commitment to the highest levels of integrity and establishing credibility
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
